Agardh's Red Marine Botanical Print

Inspired by Victorian Era pressings of seaweed these beautiful Marine Botanical Prints are created using seaweed and organic materials sourced from North Atlantic coastal waters. Artist, Mary Jameson began creating her beautiful marine botanicals in 2011. She has always been inspired by the ocean and combines the colors, shapes and textures that she has collected from the ocean to create these incredible works of art.

This seaweed specimen was collected at the mouth of the Sakonnet River where it meets the Atlantic Ocean. Its scientific name is Agardhiella tenera, but is referred to commonly as Agardh’s Red. It is one of the most beautiful and delicate seaweeds found in these waters.

This Fine Art Agardh's Red Seaweed Botanical Print is made using Ultrachrome pigmented inks and printed on Moab Entrada Natural White 100% cotton rag paper. Each piece of art is conservation framed with an acrylic covering, beautifully matted and comes ready to hang with d-rings and wire.

Each print is signed by the artist.
